Dear Dr. Zink,

In 1986, just before my first year of teaching, I heard you speak to the diocese of the San Bernardino school district. I was so impressed by your lecture I wanted to be "that kind of teacher" for my students. I purchased the book Champions in the Making and the accompanying taped lecture. I have read and re-read the book and listened to the tape until it has worn out. It has been my inspiration on those " I hate children" days for 14 years. I wanted to say "Thank you" and when I discovered this web-site was grateful to have the opportunity.

My students (ages 5-9) in my multi-aged primary classroom have been doing lots of things right and thanks to you I remember to tell them.

Dear Dr. Zink

I was very pleased to find your web page on the internet. I heard you on the radio about 15 years ago just as you came out with Champions in the Making and at that time decided to order all the material. My wife and I have enjoyed your wisdom and have recommended your tape to many.

We have two sons and the skills we learned from your tape helped us teach and guide them into making good choices. Our oldest is a 2nd LT in pilot training in the Air Force and our youngest will start medical school next year.

Although we are almost out of the parenting stage we were excited to see that you had many other topics. I am sure we will enjoy them as well.

You might remember a phone conversation that we had back in the early nineties. I am the pilot from Georgia who was trying to confirm if one could still purchase your tape. I explained that many of the flight attendants commented on how well behaved and confident our sons were and were interested in finding out how and what we were doing to make that happen. That is when I would tell them about Champions in the Making.

We have listened to that tape so many times that the quality is poor. Although we did not see it on the list, I was hoping that you could pull one out of the archives and let me purchase it. Please advise me how much it will cost and I will send you a check.

Dr. Zink, we would like to personally thank you for giving us an edge on parenting.

Dear Dr. Zink,

In the name of the Mexico City Chapter of YPO and on our behalf, we would like to thank you for the excellent presentation you gave to the members of our chapter.

We really think this has been one of the greatest events in our education program, not only for the amazing attendance we got but for the take home value that each of us will apply with our children in our daily lives.

Thanks again and we hope to have you again in our chapter in the near future.

Dear Dr. Zink,

I was one of the very lucky persons who had the chance to be at your conference last Tuesday. You really made my day, even though I burst into silent tears of emotion (of course some guilts were there too). It sure was a delightful and moving experience. I called next day to congratulate who ever invited you to come. Wish you could stay for a little bit longer to give us a kind of seminar based on being positive parents. I've been talking about your conference to all my dear friends and moms who missed you. You sure are a gifted public speaker. Looking forward to seeing you and listening to you very soon.

Dear Dr. Zink,

I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful talk you gave to us. I have to say that of all the speakers that I have had the opportunity to hear over the years, you brought a message that was important to me and my life. I have young children and attempt to put a lot into their upbringing. I would like to give them the best which is certainly not material in nature. My wife and I struggle with so many of the things that you have had the opportunity to identify. Since we are both well into our 40's, we were raised quite differently than what is considered the norm today. Our challenge is to be the best we can be for our kids. It is easy to not know how to do that. You offered us a glimpse of the "Big Picture."

I thank you for that. Keep spreading your message.

Dear Dr. Zink

My wife and I remember YPO sessions, fireside chats, and personal discussions as well. We took to heart your message to us and we have been spreading the word. It took us six months to develop five rules and prices to pay for poor choices. We spent about six months enforcing them and then the need to enforce them disappeared. We were especially pleased how the five rules idea spread to other areas--the kids just made good choices, we have a number of exchange students and local kids who have spent time with us while they work out their home situations. We love them all and they continue to brighten our lives. I am retired and awaiting the arrival of my 1st grand child. Our gift to them is your set of all six books and all five video tapes. Thanks for being our mentor and our best to you and your extended family.
